In January 2026, the highest paid vacancy was a welder with a salary of 267 thousand rubles. This is reported by RIA Novosti with reference to data from the hh.ru service.
In second place in this ranking is the vacancy of a data scientist with an index of 250 thousand rubles. The top three positions were closed by DevOps engineers, who were paid 216 thousand rubles.
“The average salary offered for welding vacancies is 267,300 rubles, for data scientist vacancies – 250,000 rubles, and for DevOps engineer vacancies – 216,800 rubles,” the study said.

In total, 160 thousand vacancies were announced with salaries exceeding 200 thousand rubles. This number is 109% higher than last year. The 5 highest paid vacancies also include real estate agents – they are paid 203 thousand rubles – and geologists, who can look forward to a salary of 197.9 thousand rubles. Overall, the average salary given in the country in January was 81,310 rubles.
Previously it was reported that the salaries of Russian IT specialists have stopped increasing due to “overproduction” of such employees, demand is currently low.
