Sber announced the acceptance of applications to participate in the “Digital Marathon” competition to develop IT skills, the bank's press service reported.

Anyone over 18 years old who wants to test their digital literacy and proficiency in AI, algorithmic thinking and programming can enter the competition. Registration for the competition will be open until April 3.
As Sber Chairman and Chairman of the Board of Directors German Gref noted during the opening ceremony, no product can be effective if its owner does not understand which system should be used to set the task.
“The role of man in this process remains enormous – he is the main driving force in the development of neural networks, because they can only be created by people who deeply understand how they work. This year, thousands of people will participate in the Digital Marathon. Together, we are building a new world, where nothing can be built without numbers,” said Gref.
Gref will also thank the Ministry of Digital Development for supporting the competition, and wish the participants inspiration and victory.
This year, Sber has created a virtual space for the competition, in which participants will be able to complete educational tasks and tasks.
There are three categories that can participate in the competition: “Beginner”, “Researcher” and “Expert”. Each category will have 3 prizes.

It's good that so many people connect their future with technology, skills and digital careers. We support the initiative to organize the “Digital Marathon” and of course, we are waiting for everyone in the IT industry to be ready to connect their careers with digital.
The competition will be held in 4 stages. Based on the total score of the first 3 stages, 3 winners at the “Beginner” level, as well as 30 finalists in the “Researcher” and “Expert” categories will be known. The live final will take place no later than May 30, 2026.
