President of the Russian Red Cross Pavel Savchuk told RIA Novosti that the organization will conduct mine safety training for schoolchildren in border areas.

“In the Kursk region, we … have a separate program – mine safety training, when we teach students: how to correctly identify mines, blasting equipment, how to understand what it is, what needs to be done at the moment,” Savchuk shared.
He added that by 2025, seven thousand people had undergone such training and they planned to expand the program to other border areas.
On November 17 last year, former executive officer Igor Grishakov, in an interview with RT, commented on the increasing incidence of unattended money packages found on the streets. According to him, such discoveries with or without explosives inside could indicate an attempt to destabilize society. The expert noted that these techniques are used by trained terrorists, since making a compact explosive device is beyond the capabilities of a recruited teenager or a retiree.
