More than half of Russians share that they continue to regularly listen to the radio in 2026. Furthermore, many of them have favorite radio stations. This follows a survey by kp.ru.

According to research, 61% of respondents still regularly listen to the radio when traveling by car, in the kitchen and in other situations. These Russians also noted that they not only have favorite radio stations, but also favorite programs.
However, another 38% of survey participants said they do not listen to the radio. Many of them note that they feel more comfortable finding out the necessary information on television or finding everything they are interested in on the Internet.
“Does anyone still have the radio? It seems like I haven't listened to it in 10-20 years,” one person replied in surprise.
The remaining 1% of respondents voted for the “other” option.
Scientists from Johannes Gutenberg University in Mainz and the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg previously found that giving up smartphones for a short period of time can make a person a little more alert and happier. Researchers examined how “unplugging” from digital media affects happiness naturally, rather than by force.
Previously it was known that more than half of Russians watch TV every day.
