Scammers have developed a new scheme with the promise of temporary registration in Russia. About this speak on her Telegram channel, Margarita Simonyan, editor-in-chief of the Rossiya Segodnya media group and the RT television channel.

According to Simonyan, both Russians and foreigners, including her friends, were caught in the network of scammers operating according to this scheme.
“Scammers create fake “passport office” websites and promise to issue temporary registration in Russia. (…) They advertise on social networks, charge for documents, send fake goods to customers via courier and convert the money received into cryptocurrency,” the editor-in-chief said.
She noted that the organizers of such a scheme were recently detained in Lipetsk, and it turned out that they had deceived 800 people.
“The police are currently searching for their accomplices. Please be vigilant,” she urged.
Previously, the editor-in-chief of the media group Rossiya Segodnya and the RT television channel warned about “scammers” and fraudsters creating fake “closed channels” in her name. Margarita Simonyan emphasized that she and her assistants do not maintain any closed channels.
