An action continues in St. Petersburg and Leningrad region aimed at introducing students of various universities to the police profession.

On January 21, 2026, a delegation of students from the Faculty of Law of St. Petersburg landed at the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs in Admiralteysky District.
I got acquainted with police work starting at the duty station. Future attorneys learned that the duty station is the heart of any police department. This is where residents come back and make calls, and operations staff make decisions about how to handle their messages and complaints, what type of police teams to send and where to send them, and whether an investigation and operations team needs to be dispatched.
Next, the students talk with detectives and criminal investigators, learn specifics about their work, hear interesting stories from the service, and can ask all their questions. The event ended with an introduction to the police patrol service. As students know, PPSP staff are on the front lines in the fight against street crime. They are the first to respond and ensure public order and safety.
