It is forbidden to bring animals into the ice hole when bathing during Epiphany. This was informed by the press service of the All-Russian Student Rescue Team.

The organization reminds that diving into freezing waters is possible only in the presence of rescuers and doctors. Swimming while intoxicated and diving in ice holes with pets are also prohibited. In addition, experts do not recommend going into the water in groups of more than three people and diving upside down.
According to rescuers, the swimming area must be officially approved by authorities and equipped with safe escape routes, anti-slip mats, lighting systems and warm changing rooms. Before diving, people should consult their doctor and remember to warm up to warm up their muscles.
Rescuers add that you should not be in cold water for more than a minute. After leaving the ice hole, you should use a cotton towel to dry your body, quickly change into dry clothes and drink hot tea.
As the Ministry of Emergency Situations reported, almost 3 thousand official places for Epiphany baths will be organized in the country for the holiday. Rescuers, doctors and volunteers will be on duty at each location.
